Last summer I received an unexpected gift from my parents- a new Canon T-3 Rebel. I. LOVE. that. camera! It takes amazing photos! Shortly after that, my sweet boyfriend bought me a 55-250 zoom lens for my birthday.

I wanted to share an unedited photo taken with my Canon this summer on a cruise. I love the movement captured in the photo and how the background seems to frame the gull.

Here's a pinterest inspired piece... I used old, layered book pages as my base and painted around the outline of a tree, using the negative space to create my tree. I really like the way this turned out!
